Here are my top picks for owning your first designer shoes. Shopping for your first pair of designer shoes can be the most exhilarating experience of a girl’s life, and it should be remembered, enjoyed, and celebrated.  When it comes to picking your first pair, you will no doubt be spoiled with choices, as there are endless options to choose from. Hopefully this post will help to narrow your choices.

Christian Louboutin Classic

Every Fashionista needs a pair of Christian Louboutin’s in their collection. Don’t just take my words for it; try Googling these shoes and you will soon find out that these are the most sought after shoes in the Fashion world today; they are iconic, stylish, and they will make a statement with every outfit.  If there is only one pair in the budget, I would recommend a pair of classic black pumps.  Be sure to pick a reasonable heel height for comfort and maximum usage.  A max heel height of 100 mm or lower will allow comfort, confidence in your strides, and will suit most occasions.  If the shoes are too high (e.g., 120 mm), that will no doubt be very pretty to look at, but will not be a functional piece in your closet and will be a waste of your money; you want to be able to wear your designer shoes as much as possible.    Also, an almond shape versus a pointy shape are much more comfortable; so this is something to consider as well.  Of course the pointy toe styles are much prettier, so it’s a little trade-off between looks and comfort.  And last but not least, a nude colour is also an excellent alternative to the classic black as they also go great with most outfits, and offer a more softer and feminine vibe. To date, I own 3 pairs of Christain Louboutins, and my go to for comfort, style, and chicness is my Black Simple Pumps in 100mm.  I can stand in them for hours without any complaints, and as such, I wear them almost everywhere.

Valentino Rockstud

The Valentino Rockstud shoes will give you everything you are looking for in a designer shoe; comfort, style, quality, and a statement piece.  Pair these “studs” with a simple pair of jeans and t-shirt, and you will still be the best dressed woman in the room.  Regardless of choosing the nude or black, each colour will provide endless options for pairings.  I personally own a pair of nude, and I can attest that these shoes go with everything in my closet.  They are the most expensive pair of shoes that I currently own, and they were worth every penny spent on them.

Gianvito Rossi

Although I do not own a pair of Gianvito Rossi at the time of writing this post, these shoes are worth mentioning.  I have read hundreds of reviews and have looked at endless You Tube videos where everyone expressed how comfortable these shoes are, and these shoes are on my wish list for my next luxury shoe purchase.  Owning a pair of Gianvito Rossi Plexi glass will give you everything you are looking for; comfort, style, versatile, and as such, you will be able to get maximum usage and get your money’s worth.

Conclusion– The main objective of investing in designer shoes is buying quality and timeless pieces for maximum usage, and being stylish.  This way, you will be sure to get your money’s worth.  So, good luck saving and shopping for your first designer shoe.  Please drop me a comment and let know your experience buying your first pair, and which are your personal favorites.
